Last year we heard from Tom and Gwen Webb (8am) about how God used them for close to 20 years in Papua New Guinea. They partnered with a young Uri speaking local named Koleng and the New Testament was launched in 1985. We heard how Koleng had continued to lead and encourage the believers and the opportunity we now had to fund the production of Megavoice audio players to continuing bringing Jesus to this community.
With over $3000 raised towards the cost of the players themselves, Koleng and his daughter Naomi are coming to Australia to begin recording the audio Uri New Testament and we will be hearing from them at all our services this Sunday.
To refresh your memory about this project, go to www.uribible.com. After hearing about the work this Sunday you may wish to give again or for the first time – just use an envelope into the Perspex Box or electronically into the church account – either way marked ‘Uri bible’.
